WELCOME! The photos for this blog are based on my 1996 summer trip to Kenya, Tanzania, & South Africa. 

I spent a lot of time on "safari" hunting wild animals (with my camera!) . I also was particularly interested in South Africa history because of the Dutch connection (my ancestors came from the Netherlands and I grew up in a Dutch-American enclave). And I also wanted to bring the Good News to Africa...so I also spent time doing street ministry and giving people the love & hope of Jesus Christ ! Here are some of the photos (all photos by me, pre-digital) & this will also become a news blog about Africa ...stay tuned for updates.

OUR KENYAND SAFARI COMPANY WAS CALLED "COME to AFRICA". They did a NICE JOB...WE CAMPED ONE NIGHT...they COOKED the MEAL ON A STOVE...they helped us see a

 NICE VARIETY OF ANIMALS...
